Why is this a charged service?

Towsafe is a professional outfit matching system, designed to meet the demanding requirements of the caravan industry. This requires that we conduct due diligence on the data we receive from the major car data suppliers (CAP and JATO) to ensure that it is fit for purpose.

Collating this data along with further information from the DVLA and physical vehicle inspections, we check and verify over 10,000 data points each year.

This labour intensive exercise means that unlike other matching services, we are not just colliding unseen datasets together, and allows us to provide meaningful match results.

Thank you

Multiple Outfit Matching System: MOMS

What is MOMS?

MOMS (Multiple Outfit Matching System), is currently a free unlimited service, that enables you to produce lists of up to 15 suitable caravans your car can safely and legally tow. Alternatively produce lists of 15 award winning or recommended tow cars (as voted for by the Camping and Caravanning Club, What Car? and Practical Caravan) capable of towing your caravan.

Multiple Outfit Matching System: MOMS

MOMS:- Produce a Caravan list

The MOMS (Multiple Outfit Matching System), currently a free unlimited service, allows you to produce a list of up to 15 caravans that your car should be capable of towing.

By filtering your search criteria using make, model year, berths and your towing experience you will produce a list of caravans that your car can tow.

By selecting experienced, your list may contain caravans with MTPLM's up to 100% the kerb weight of your vehicle. If you select beginner the MTPLM of your caravans listed will never exceed 85% of the kerb weight of your vehicle.

They are listed by their MTPLM with the lightest caravans first.

You can perform a Caravan match list as many times as you wish without using any of your Towsafe matches, however we strongly recommend that once you have identified a Caravan that meets your requirements that you perform a comprehensive 1:1 match against your Tow Car.

Warning: This list is compiled as an aid to selecting a suitable Caravan,it is NOT a substitute for a full 1:1 outfit match. We stongly recommend that once you have identified a Caravan that meets your requirements you conduct a full 1:1 Towsafe match against your vehicle by clicking on a caravan link. This full and comprehensive match report will detail any potential issues when loading your caravan and specific warnings / advice for the combination and restrictions related to your licence.
